The Hidden Map: Samasthiti Everywhere, Limbs that Carry, Transitions that Teach

26 mins

This talk takes the “**99% practice, 1% theory**” idea seriously by giving you that **1%**—time to **think through** your practice. We use the **first three Asana Principles** as our lens: **Samasthiti** as the root (neutral pelvis, neutral spine, long-and-strong limbs), how **arms and legs**—well-set in Samasthiti—*carry forward* into everything you do, and **transitions** (crouch → spring → arrival) that educate the pose itself. What makes this session valuable is the **layered context**: we **theorize about the asana work** so you can practice **smarter** and let principle-based action naturally lead to the **deeper layers of yoga**. Instead of chasing shapes, you leave with a clear mental map—principles you can recognize, reason about, and then embody.
