In this final talk on Book One, David explores Sūtras I.47–I.51, which point beyond subtle reflection into the highest stages of absorption. In nirvicāra samāpatti, the clarity of the higher self (ādhyātma-prasāda) shines forth, and from this emerges ṛtaṁ-bharā prajñā—truth-bearing wisdom that wells up from within, aligning personal dharma with the cosmic law of harmony. This insight is not borrowed from scripture or teachers, but arises directly, carrying both individual and universal revelation. David also explains how deep impressions (saṁskāras) formed in these states check and overwrite lesser patterns, polishing the mind into a vessel for freedom. Finally, Patañjali points toward nirbīja samādhi—absorption without seed—where even the most refined impressions dissolve, leaving pure presence without thought. Readings from Kabir and Hölderlin frame this culmination of practice as both wondrous and deeply human: a winding path of testing everything, enduring love and sorrow, and stepping into freedom with gratitude and vision.
